The Phobians recorded one of their highest turnouts at the arena in recent times.

Fans of the Club trooped to the Stadium in their numbers to catch a glimpse of the Rainbow Club’s first game in this season’s Ghana Premier League.

It was the first time in so many years the Club had recorded such number of spectators at the grounds apart from Hearts vrs Kotoko games.

A close and reliable source of the Hearts of Oak team however revealed to GhanaSportsOnline.com in a conversation that the Club were able to pull GHC 60,000 as gate proceeds in their first game in the League.

The source went on to express his desire to have such number of turnout in the team’s subsequent matches.

Hearts of Oak were able to defeat New Edubiase, thanks to a 79thminutes strike from substitute Samuel Yeboah who capitalized on a lose making to slot the ball at the back of the net.

Coach Kenichi Yatshuhashi and his charges will next travel to take on Medeama SC on Sunday.

A good result against Medeama could enhance the number of  turnout at the Stadium in the team’s next home game against Ebusua Dwarfs.
