CK Akunnor Targets Black Stars Job

The head coach of Dreams Football Club, Charles K. Akunnor has set sights on leading the dugout of Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars.

The former Black Stars skipper led Sekondi Eleven Wise to the premier league before a stint with giants Accra Hearts of Oak ended sourly.

A move to Dreams FC seems to be placing the national hero into the pantheon books of most promising coaches to grace the local league, and he has set sights on sitting at the technical bench of the Black Stars in the near future.

“I have dreams of coaching the Black Stars one day but I know it’s a long shot. But I’m not shying away from it,” Akunnor told Kumasi-based Ultimate FM.

The 41-year-old has taken it upon himself to crack all rocks before him to reach the height of steering the technical affairs of the four-time Africa champions.

“Whatever it will take for me to reach that dream, I will keep working hard and educating myself until I’m ready for the challenge.” he said.
