NDC Big-Wigs Pull Strings ...To Have Amanfrom Chief Released

The Ministries Police in Accra has refused to grant bail to the Chief of Ngleshie Amanfrom, Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV, who has been detained for allegedly raping a 20-year-old girl in his house at Amanfro, in the Ga South Municipality, despite frantic strings pulling by big-wigs in ruling National Democratic Congress.

Following his arrest last Monday, Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV, in consonance with the relevant laws, was supposed to have his day in court yesterday but this paper gathered that some top government officials intervened for the matter to be settled out of court.

Tongues have however started wagging on why the arrest of the Chief has attracted the attention of so many political influence peddlers in the Mahama administration such that ministers of state were yesterday seen at the Police station in their desperate bid to have their friend released on bail.

Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV, reports say, after allegedly raping the victim also threatened to kill her if she revealed anything of the sordid experience she had with him to any third party.

But the victim, who could not keep the horrifying ordeal to herself in spite of the threat, formally lodged a complaint at the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service at the Ministries Police Station in Accra for the law to take its course.

The New Crusading GUIDE checks at DOVVSU at the Ministries’ Police Station showed that the victim in her caution statement stated that she was raped by the chief of Ngleshie Amanfro, Nii Kwashie Gborlor.

Further checks at by this paper at the Police Hospital, where the victim went for medical examination revealed the presence of warts as well as bruises at different levels of healing in the vaginal walls, which according to the medical report, is consistent with rape or forced sexual intercourse.
