SoNA 2016: Prez Mahama Calls For Clean 2016 Election Devoid Of Insults

As part of his last State of the Nation’s Address in his First Term to Parliament, President John Dramani Mahama called on all political parties to engage in issue-based campaign in their quest to convince Ghanaians to vote them into power this year.

According to him, political parties should carry out their activities devoid of insults as they engage the electorates to sell their ideas to them.

Whiles lauding the media for conveying the messages of every political party to Ghanaians to help them make informed choices ahead of the November 7 polls, he however appealed to them to only carry the messages devoid of any form of vitriol.

Let the election be cleand, devoid of insults; we should be telling Ghanaians what we can do and not insult ourselves”, he stated.

President Mahama further called on all Ghanaians to support the Electoral Commission (EC) in its mission to ensure a peaceful, transparent, free and fair election in 2016; adding that Ghana's EC is the best in West Africa.
