NPPs Real State Of The Nation Address To Touch On Issues Mahama Snubbed?

Acting General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP], John Boadu revealed that – their party’s intended town hall meeting with Ghanaians dubbed “Real State of The Nation Address” will not seek to rubbish President John Dramni Mahama’s recent address in parliament.

According to him, the address which will be broadcast live on some radio stations nationwide in a few minutes, will ‘hit’ on issues the president failed to talk about.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s Ghana Montie, John Boadu said “the president [John Mahama] overlooked some important things in his address, these are what Nana Addo want to address to the state. If the President [Mahama] had planned well, Ghana wouldn’t be in this mess.”

Nana Addo is expected to deliver his version of the state of the nation address on Monday, February 29 - the address will be delivered at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons at 10:00am.

President John Dramani Mahama delivered an almost four-hour address to Parliament on Thursday, February 25, outlining his government's achievements over the past year and projections for the future.

While members of the NDC hailed the address, opposition parties have described it as a campaign gimmick.
