The Coca-Cola Bottling Company Limited (TCCBCL) and Airtel Ghana’s attention has been drawn to some messages in circulation claiming that the two companies are running a promotion that requires recipients to make mobile money transfers to a given number for rewards.
A statement issued in Accra by the Corporate Communications Teams of both companies and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the TCCBCL and Airtel Ghana would like to state that we are not running any promotion of this nature.
It said, “Our investigations indicate that this is a scam intended to dupe unsuspecting members of the public by some unscrupulous individuals.
We have taken steps to report this matter to the authorities for further investigations”.
It urged the public to disregard messages in this or other forms requiring them to make payments to redeem prizes or rewards.
All promotions run by both companies are duly communicated to the public through official company channels and through the media.
