Money Lenders Association Ghana launch Thier 5 Year Strategic Plan

The executive secretary of Money Lenders Association Ghana, Frank Mawutor Borbor, on the occasion of the launching the association’s 5 year strategic plan stated the vision of the association to be the most credible micro credit institution in Ghana that empowers it members to improve the living conditions of their clients.

He said the association has eight strategic goals. Chief among which is to build capacity of the secretariat in terms of Human Resource Management and logistics to ensure service delivery.

When capacity of staff is built, it will enhance proper execution of the other strategic goals in the plan. Other key things mentioned in the plan are to liaise with the regulatory body to ensure compliance with regulations as well as check illegal operations in the country.

This will be done by an effective monitoring and evaluation system of the association.

Talking about the achievement of the association, he further posited that the current active membership of the association stands at 561 members which cut across all the 10 regions of the country.

These members have been contributing to socio economic development of the country in various ways through granting micro loans to the poorest of the poor in the agricultural sector, education, trading and so forth.

There are success stories of most members whose clients have been taken out of poverty as a result of the micro lending business of members across the country.
