Kwahu Easter Fair Begins

The Kwahu Easter Trade Fair and Exhibition 2016 has began at Nkawkaw in the Kwahu West Municipality.

Opening the fair, the first Vice-President of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce (GNCC), Mr Clement Osei Amoah said the Kwahu Easter celebration besides its entertainment is also being used to promote the economic development of the area.

He said the organization of the trade fair at the district level is to provide an avenue for small and medium scale industries in the district level to promote their activities and help create employment for the youth.

Mr Amoah urged business men and women to take full advantage of the opportunity to invest in the area.

He called on the Kwahu citizens and the district assemblies in the area to repackage the tourists facilities in the Kwahu area and make them part of the Kwahu Easter programme.

Mr Opare Young, chairman of the Kwahu Easter Trade Fair and Exhibition 2016 Planning Committee, expressed his appreciation to the GHCC, Ghana Institute of Chartered Marketing and other stakeholders who contributed towards the organization of the fair.

He said it is the aim of the Kwahu Development Association that every month, there would be an activity in the Kwahu area that would attract national attention and promote business in the area.

Earlier in a welcoming address, Dr Samuel Obeng Somoah, the Kwahu East Municipal Chief Executive, said for the first time, an economic interest had been attached to the Kwahu Easter and urged the business men and women in the area to take advantage of the opportunity given them.
