There Is No Justification For Any Form Of Terrorism � Ahmadiyya World Leader

The Caliph of the Worldwide Ahamidiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad has opined that there is no need for people to be afraid of Islam, as it is a religion of peace. According to him, many claim Islam is a religion of extremism and are fond of terrorism, something which is far from the truth.

Speaking at the 13th National Peace Symposium, held in London on the theme ‘’Justice, the Foundation for Lasting Peace’’, His Holiness Masroor Ahmad condemned the various acts of terrorism and asked for concerted effort to disabuse the minds of people that these acts are done in the name of Islam.

“… terror attacks are a modern day evil which cannot be justified in any form… present day wars are not being fought for the sake o f Islam or religion but for economic and geo-political gains”. He said.

He further opined that there is no need for Islamophobia. He insisted that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance. “.. Islam’s true teachings are of peace, tolerance and mutual respect’ he said

Suicide attacks and other forms of terrorism have been on the increase in recent times but His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor believes those involved do so to achieve their economic and geopolitical gains and have nothing to do with Islam.

His Holiness Masroor Ahmad criticised sections of the world media for reporting and feeding on the wrong justification by the extremists that they do that in the name of Jihad.

He said the holy Quran enjoins all to show love to their fellow brethren since God is the provider and sustainer of life ‘’…why do you harm his creation’’? He quizzed

The 13th national Peace Symposuim was held at the Baitul Futuh mosque in London and  was attended by a cross section of the top political figures in the United Kingdom. Notable among them were the Mayoral candidate for London, Zac Goldman and the UK secretary for International affairs, Justine Greening. Over 900 people attended from all over the world.
