Director of Human Resource Management at Global Media Alliance, Emma Wenani has been nominated as one of the speakers for the 5th annual Africa HR Leaders Conference organized by OML Africa at the Best Western Premiere Hotel in Accra.

Under the theme “Evolve, Execute, Add value”, the 3 day conference will have speakers to address audience, particularly, HR practitioners and business leaders on different pressing topics concerning human resource management from March 30 to April 1, 2016.

Ms. Wenani will be speaking on talent utilization under the topic “Add value to Get Value- Getting your talent to work for you”.

Having practiced Human Resources for over a decade and rising through the ranks, Ms. Wenani sees this as a great opportunity to share experiences and help nurture young talents in the HR industry.

“As a Human Resource practitioner who has had the opportunity to manage people with different backgrounds and capabilities, I have come to the realization that many people go silent on their talent without noticing.

However, in the business world today, talent is one key thing that can set an individual apart from his or her cohorts in the same field of work.

I am very passionate about this topic I will be speaking on. I believe highlighting this topic will help people find purpose or their talents and creatively utilize them to add values to their professions. This will eventually translate into excellence at the individual’s level and profitability at the organization’s level’.

Ms. Wenani holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Ghana and a combined major degree in French and Sociology from the University of Nairobi. Her passion for stringing words together, leadership, and personal development has earned her diverse experience in Human Resource, Public Relations, and Writing.

Prior to Joining Global Media Alliance where she manages HR processes for over 300 staff across 9 business entities, Ms. Wenani held the position of Public Relations Officer for the Nairobi Stock Exchange right after her position as the Assistant Editor to the NSE quarterly magazine, the Exchange.
