RE: DISREGARD ANY PARTY STATEMENTS SIGNED BY UNAUTHORIZED ANTHONY ABAYIFA KARBO

The New Patriotic Party wants to state categorically that the General Secretary (Ag) has not issued any statement, under the above headline, asking party members and the general public to view as “unauthorized” and “illegitimate” statements issued on behalf of the party by Anthony Abayifaa Karbo, a Deputy Communications Director.

A statement circulated on social media and other media outlets, dated April 5, 2016, ostensibly issued by detractors of the party, claims that the National Executive has asked party members and the general public to disregard any statement issued on behalf of the party by the Deputy Communications Director.

This comes in the wake of a statement issued on behalf of the party by Mr Abayifaa Karbo, announcing the decision of the party to boycott political programmes hosted by Adakabre Frimpong Manso and Kwame Nkrumah Tikese on Neat FM and Okay FM respectively.

We wish to urge our party members, the general public and the media to treat the said statement with all the contempt it deserves, and see it as part of the orchestrations by our detractors to create confusion in our party.

The Party’s decision to boycott Okay and Neat FM still stands.

Party Officers, faithful and the general public must be on the lookout for some of these panic - laden statement from detractors of the Party henceforth.

As always, any official statement by the party will be released through the party's official communications channel, [email protected].

Thank You.

JOHN BOADU
GENERAL SECRETARY (AG)
