NPP Roasts Koku Anyidoho

THE NEW Patriotic Party (NPP), at Suame Constituency in Kumasi, has chastised National Democratic Congress (NDC) Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho for always indulging in tribal and divisive politics.

They stated that people like Koku Anyidoho should not be taken serious by the citizenry whenever he speaks, since his utterances usually seeks to divide the people, which is not good for national unity and growth.

“Typical of his stock, Anyidoho cannot engage in political discussions without evoking tribal sentiments, regardless of the repercussions that the storm he creates would have on the country”.

Dr. John Osei Bobbie, the NPP Communications Director at Suame, who was addressing the media on Wednesday, stated that Koku Anyidoho’s style of tribal politics belonged to the past.

He lambasted Koku Anyidoho for peddling falsehood that the NPP at Suame were bent on making sure that people with Voltarian and Northern names would be expunged from the electoral roll at Suame, with the excuse that they are dead.

Dr. Bobbie explained that the NPP legally procured a copy of the electoral register, so as a serious political party, the NPP is touring the constituency to identify the addresses of people to help make planning of campaign easy.

The NPP man said the NPP’s exercise was being done in the open, therefore he was surprised when Koku Anyidoho, at a press conference, lied that Mr. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, the Suame MP and Minority Leader of Parliament, had organized people to delete names of Voltarians and Northerners from the electoral roll.

Dr. Bobbie disclosed that one Derrick Naab Kakora, a Frafra native from the Upper East Region, was in charge of the NPPs exercise at Suame, wondering if a Northerner would be placed as head of a mission to delete Northern names from the electoral register.
