ECs New Logo Is An Occult Symbol - Divine Nkrumah

The embattled new logo of the Electoral Commission (EC) has been described by the National Youth Organizer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Divine Nkrumah as a symbol of a secret society group.

According to him, as a graphic designer, the Electoral Commission has belittled the graphic designers in the country with this kind of a new logo; making the new logo looks like Ghana cannot benefit from those Ghanaians who have acquired education in graphic designing.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Divine Nkrumah insisted the EC’s logo does not represent Ghana in anyway, thus the logo speaks volume of a symbol representing an occult group.

“The EC's new logo does not represent Ghana in anyway. The logo is more or less like occult, secret society or illuminati group symbol; when you critically look at the logo and its features, there is nothing Ghanaian about it because as for the colours, you can give your own meanings to them depending on the interpretation you want to give them,” he indicated.

He stressed that anybody can interpret for instance colour red to mean danger, seriousness in accordance with the intent of the designer; asserting that the new logo for the Electoral Commission (EC) is just avenue to steal the country’s money.

He revealed that since Kwame Nkrumah's era no national assignment has been done in secrecy and later imposed on the citizenry, reiterating that the new logo of the EC should have been given out to the state craft institutions as a competition for an award.

He maintained that this style of national assignment saves the country some money, reminding the EC that the rebranding will not change the challenges facing the voter’s register.

He grimaced saying “Anybody who will defend EC’s new logo is either deliberately wants to lie or throw dust into the eyes of Ghanaians.”
