Rawlings And Children Back Nana Konadu At NDP Congress (Photos)

Jerry John Rawlings might be the founder of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) but that didn’t stop him from supporting his wife, Nana Konadu Rawlings at the National Democratic Party (NDP) National Delegates’ Congress on Saturday.

Rawlings’ appearance at the Trade Fair Centre where the Congress is currently ongoing was met with chants and songs from the NDP delegates, who could not contain their joy.

Nana Konadu is set to be endorsed as the NDP’s presidential candidate for the elections in November as she’s the sole aspirant for the position.

Also at the Congress to support Nana Konadu are her daughters. However conspicuously missing is Zanetor Rawlings who was recently elected the Parliamentary Candidate of the NDC for the Klottey Korle constituency.

Aside the flagbearer position, other positions that will be contested for are the National Chairman and Vice Chairpersons, General Secretary and two Deputies, Youth leader and two Deputies, National Women’s leader and two Deputies and the Communications Director and two Deputies.

The NDP have also revealed they are poised to file parliamentary candidates in all 275 constituencies across the country, for the elections.
