Land Guards Attack Metro FMs Parliamentary Reporter

Metro FM’s parliamentary correspondent, Nana Kwaku Boffah has been severely attacked by some group of land guards in the Asalaga District in the Greater Accra Region.

The journalist who had taken time off his busy schedule to pay his parents a visit was attacked by the unknown aggressors over a piece of land belonging to his parents.

The police are yet to make any arrest and have launched a search to smoke out the perpetuators who inflicted pain on the reporter.

In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Nana Kwaku Boffah revealed that “I paid a visit to my parents on Sunday at Asalaja and in that same morning my dad and I, tried digging a thin foundation which we intend to use as our fence wall.

For some strange reasons, the land owner next to us has always had problem with my parents and little did I know the foundation we dug had infuriated him to convince him to connive with land guards to beat me".

He continued that "after working on the land I decided to take my shower and because the bathroom was situated outside, I saw two men arrive on motorbike and heard them demanding the whereabouts of my father. As his son, he stepped in to talk to them but they were only interested in knowing why we dug the foundation for a fence wall."

"I tried all I could to explain to them that portion was ours but they hit me with a stone and later hit with me sticks until they broke and fell off. I tried to defend myself but I couldn’t stand them and ran away from the site. As I speak to you now, I am scared of what I saw and wish the police would step in to do justice", he added.

Asked if he has informed the police about the situation, Nana Kwaku Boffah replied in the affirmative.
