Asamoah Gyan frustrated by persistent injuries

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has admitted he has been frustrated by the persistent injuries he keeps sustaining in his career in China.

The Shanghai SIPG striker explains that he is determined to make a huge impact in the Chinese Super League but the persistence of his injuries keeps him frustrated.

Gyan has suffered close to four injuries since joining the CSL and he admits it’s really frustrating.

“That is why I said I am going through a lot of frustrations. If you want to do something and you persistently get injuries, you get frustrated.

“But I have gone through that before. So I motivate myself despite these injuries,” he said.

Gyan has currently suffered a hamstring injury which will rule him out of action for some time.

He is out of the Black Stars side that will play a friendly with Guinea in France and the 2017 Afcon qualifier with Mauritius.
