Maxwell Konadu urges local players to work hard for places in Black Stars team

Black Stars assistant Coach Maxwell Konadu has urged local players to work hard in other to secure a place in the senior National team.
 
Head Coach Avram Grant invited four local players for the team’s Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius this coming Sunday.

Fatau Dauda, Richard Ofori, Samuel Tetteh and Kadri Mohammed were the only home-based players invited for the game against Mauritius.

Konadu who doubles as head coach of the local Black Stars team is urging home-based players to work hard in other to secure places in the National team (Black Stars).

“This time we have four local players and I know as time goes on we will have more home-based players,” he spoke to Ghana Sports Newspaper.

“All they need to do is to keep on working hard and who knows their chance could come.

“The technical team is keeping an eye on every player so they should keep on performing and definitely they will earn a call-up.”

The Black Stars team is expected to depart for Mauritius on Wednesday after a three-day camping in Ghana.
