The body of a young man in his mid 30s was found hanging on a tree near the Regional Maritime University in Accra.
A resident reported the discovery to the Sakumono District Police Command.
The body has since been removed and desposited at the Police Hospital Morgue for preservation and autopsy.
ASP Effia Tenge, Accra Regional Police Command Public Relations Officer, stated that the police are investigating the incident.
She said the police proceeded to the scene after the report by the said resident and found a man with his neck tied to a tree in the bush near the Regional Maritime University.
ASP Tenge said foul play has been ruled out since the police didn’t find any assault marks on the body after examination.
She appealed to the public to assist the police to identify the man and help trace his family.
