Taxi Drivers Lead NPP Campaign

Drivers for change, an association of some taxi drivers within the Cape Coast Metropolis was on Tuesday inaugurated with the vision to help the opposition NPP recapture political power in the 2016 elections.

At the inaugural ceremony held at the Cape Coast Chapel Square, the association said the NDC administration had brought untold hardship to Ghanaians.

According the association, it has been very difficult for them to make their daily sales, renew their vehicle insurance premium, buy enough fuel to run their vehicles and cater for their family.
This, they said, was due to social-economic hardship was due to bedeviled the country through mismanagement of the economy by the ruling government.

The president of Drivers for Change, Mr. Kweku boating stated that, the NDC convinced drivers to vote for them during the 2008 and 2012 elections so that their (drivers) lives could change for the better.

According to him, drivers in the Cape Coast Metropolis and the country at large were experiencing just the opposite of what the ruling government promised them, hence their decision to campaign for the opposition.

He urged members of the association to campaign vigorously for the Nana Akufo Addo and Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to win the fourth coming elections so that their lives could be changed.
