Upper West: Well Deal With NDC Mob According To Law Police

Police in the Upper West region say it will bring perpetrators who set ablaze the NDC party’s office in Wa West to book and prevent any partisan interest into its investigations.

Police have intensified their investigations to arrest some young men behind this lawless act  in the Wa West District.

The suspects on Saturday apart from burning the NDC office also destroyed a vehicle belonging to the party’ constituency chairman.

The angry youth were protesting against the President’s nomination of one Basiera Sankara as the District Chief Executive for the district.

But the Upper West Regional Police Commander, ACP Dr. Shaibu Gariba said the Police will deal with perpetrators involved according to the laws of the land.

“We’ve not made any arrest yet but we’re gathering intelligence to get to bring perpetrators to book. This is beyond party issue and we’ll make sure we deal with those involved according to law. They don’t have any right to destroy public properties because they are angry over some issue. We’ll not treat it as an NDC internal matter and we’ll not favour anyone because it is an NDC matter; crime has no political colours , hence once they are caught we’ll deal with them.”
