TECNO Ghana has launched a fourth generation long-term evolution (4G LTE) phone, the CAMON C9, to help improve customer experience and quicken the speed at which they can access Internet services.
The launch coincided with the unveiling of MTN Ghana’s 4G mobile network service, which would run only on devices that support such services.
The TECNO CAMON C9 is, therefore, aimed at giving customers a platform on which to enjoy quicker Internet services at speed that are about 10 times quicker than currently exists.

Beyond giving users quicker access to and enhanced experience on Internet services, the TENCO CAMON C9 is also equipped with top-of-the-range features that are aimed at making it stand out among competing devices.
It comes with a 13.0 mega pixel (MP) front camera that has a flash and another 13.0MP back camera with dual flash.
“The CAMON C9 can shoot up to a 10-man spread group selfie in a single shoot,” the General Manager in-charge of Business at TECNO, Mr Daniel Glover, said at the launch.
All thanks to a masterful lens grinding and coaxial 6P lens technology.
“Every shot taken with the new TECNO CAMON C9 camera phone is picture perfect owing to the lens technology behind the outlandish camera phone,” he added.
He explained that the special blue glass on the coaxial lens normally filters extra reflected light from the image in focus, thereby making the image look crisp and beautiful.
To help ensure easy and convenient capture of pictures, Mr Glover said CAMON C9 was fitted with another device, the T-band, which allows users to take remote snapshot, create a 10 meters connection between itself and the C9 and take snapshots with just a click on the T-band.
“The CAMON C9 carries the latest and fastest HiOS1.0 based on android 6.0.”
“The open application speed is very fast Fashion design, the phone has a metallic framework with more texture and the screen is 5.5inches wide, making it good for movies and games,” he explained.
Previous products
The introduction of the phone adds to similar TECNO phones currently on sale in the country.
The company has, over the years, consistently stood out of the clutter by offering innovative smart phone specifications.
Last year, it launched the TECNO C8, which has a 13.0 MP back camera and a 5.0 MP front camera.
Sales of C8 have since jumped to record highs, Mr Glover said, adding that the company expected the C9 to sell more than that.
