Pan African Parliament Training Program Opens In Accra

Parliamentarians in Africa have been urged to be mindful of the fact that the Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2063 can hardly be achieved by Africa if the citizenry who Parliamentarians represent are not involved in the planning and measuring of the results of the programs and activities that affect their lives. Hon Bernadette Lahai 4th Vice President of the Pan African Parliament made the statement at the opening of a three-day Result-based Management Training for Members of the Pan African Parliament.

She said accurate and reliable evidence about achievement of specific results could be provided through result - based approach to implementation and management of programs and activities by public officials.

She said the training program will enhance the skills and knowledge of the participants on how to design and implement programs and activities that are specific, measurable attributable and realistic.

Hon Bernadette Lahai also advised the country to ensure a peaceful, free and fair election this year.
