'My Father Jesus' Directed Me To Flog Two; Those Against Are 'Stupid & Senseless' - Obinim

Founder and General Overseer of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim says it is “unfortunate” Ghanaians are castigating him for publicly flogging his amorous adopted children.

According to him – “All those against me beating them are blockheads. They are very stupid, senseless individuals and fools.”

The contentious man of God ignited public outrage after he was seen in a video flogging his 14-year -old ‘adopted’ pregnant girl and her boyfriend [also adopted].

Furious by the youngsters’ lustful actions which resulted in a pregnancy, Bishop Obinim beat the duo; he whipped the guy on his bare back with his belt before turning to the girl and flogging her mercilessly in the full glare of his congregation.

Some Ghanaians have called for the arrest of the 'Angel Obinim' - but he says his action is justifiable.

“What I do as a pastor shouldn’t be a worry to Ghanaians. I will reply anyone verbally who will speak against me,” he said in an interview on NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie.

Justifying the act, he said ‘his father Jesus Christ’ directed him to flog the two.

He added that the two are his responsibility and his way of not letting them go wayward is to discipline them when they go wrong.

"I take care of the children and their families, as I speak with you the young man’s mother and siblings live in my house. They are my responsibility," he stated.
