Injured Journalists In Veep�s Convoy Accident Discharged

Four persons including two journalists, GTV’s Nutor Bibini Nutor and Radio Gold’s Bernard Allotey and two security men, who sustained minor injuries in vice presidential convoy accident have been treated and discharged from the 37 military hospital Sunday.

Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur's convoy and some journalists were involved in an accident on the Winneba-Cape Coast highway, Saturday afternoon while traveling to Dominase for the 20th anniversary of Nana Kwebu Ewusi and also to celebrate Akwambo festival with the people.

The accident occurred at Gomoa Adams, near Nsakyire junction on the Winneba – Cape Coast highway.

One of the Sports Utility Vehicles the crew was travelling in was crashed into by a salon car who failed to heed to the signals of Veep’s convoy thereby causing it to summersault severally, before halting in the bush nearby – upside down.

Adom News has gathered that, the Apam police has began investigations into the accident.

Meanwhile, the vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur who narrowly escaped the accident is fine.
