Manyhia North: PPP PC Promises 1-Library-1-Electoral Area

The Progressive People’s Party’s (PPP) parliamentary nominee for the Manhyia North constituency has promised a library for each electoral area in the constituency if voted into office in the December polls.

Addressing voters as part of the PPP running mate’s three-day tour of the area, Abena Biritwum said the PPP was the only party that was concerned about the development of the individual Ghanaian and should be given the nod to rule the country.

She expressed optimism that policies laid down by the party would benefit the electorate. “We have policies that will make your petty trading flourish and for your children to have quality education. Our educational programmes include vacation classes for students [and] remedial classes for non-performing students. We also intend to build libraries for every electoral area in this constituency. We are already discussing this project with the authorities. We have scholarships for students as well, so we have all these plans for you. We in the PPP don’t promise; we deliver…”

The party’s vice-presidential nominee, Brigitte Dzogbenuku, said her party does not discriminate.

“I am from the Volta Region but you are all my family. We won’t say our party belongs to one group or the other; we don’t discriminate for the sake of elections. A vote for the PPP is a vote for Ghana. When you vote for the CPP, you vote for inclusive governance,” she said.
