Ghana football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi insists WA All Stars are deserved Champions of the Ghana Premier League.
Wa All Stars clinched the domestic top-flight for the first time at the expense of Aduana Stars.
Coach Enos Adepa’s side were crowned Champions last Sunday after finishing the season with 51 points.
Many have tagged WA All Stars title winning triumph as a fluke with some football fans describing their success to have happened under the influence of the Ghana FA boss (Kwesi Nyantakyi) who is the owner of the Club.
Nyantakyi in an interview with Happy FM says the Club deserved to win the League title.
“Many are saying I played a role to ensure WA All Stars won the League, but we have to admit the fact that they are deserved Champions because we all saw them play throughout the season and we saw kind of football they played.
“I think they deserve to win. They played one of the finest football and if you even check the stats you will see WA All Stars holds a better head-to-head record then all the teams.”
WA All Stars will thus be representing Ghana in the CAF Champions League next year.
