North Tongu Suffering Under NDC

New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant in the North Tongu constituency of the Volta Region, Mr. Richard Collins Arku, has stated that people of the constituency are “really suffering” under the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

Speaking to hundreds of supporters of the NPP after filing his nomination forms at Adidome last week Thursday, Mr. Arku called on the electorate to reject the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto, and the NDC government in the December 7, polls.

According to him, the MP and his NDC government have lost touch with the people.

“We the people in North Tongu want a change in Parliament this year so that the constituency can move forward. We are really suffering in North Tongu. The area is a rich but bad leadership has made the area poor. We just need a leader who can bring prosperity to all of us, and that leader is he (Mr. Richard Collins Arku).”

He mentioned that the constituents were bearing the harshest brunt of the suffering under the MP and, urged them to vote for him to bring change.

“If you vote for me, I’ll make sure that I bring prosperity and comfort to our people,” he assured.

Mr. Arku noted that every place he has visited in the communities, the residents were highly disappointed in government for failing to give them their fair share of the national cake.

He assured that he was ready to improve the lives of the people in the area when voted into power in the December 7 polls.

He also reiterated his commitment to take bold measures to create jobs for the teeming jobless population, especially the youth.

“I am very concerned about jobs for our young people. Too many people I have seen with my own eyes for the last three years have nothing to do. They are searching for jobs to earn a decent living and I’m going to make sure I take the right decision to create the needed jobs for them,” Mr. Arku assured.
