I Trust Judgment Of Prostitutes Than That Of EC Comment Despicable - Koku

The Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Koku Anyidoho has chastised the NPP for unnecessarily and baselessly attacking the Electoral Commission.

He believes the main opposition party, which has been badly discredited under the leadership of Nana Akufo Addo and his running mate Dr Mahmoud Bawumia have decided to deliberately launch incessant attacks on the EC and its Chairperson, Charlotte Osei.

According to Mr Anyidoho, comments by NPP’s Deputy General Secretary, Nana Obiri Boahene that he trusts the Judgment of Prostitutes Than That of EC was in bad taste and must be condemned.

Nana Obiri Boahene first made the statement on Accra based OKAY FM and repeated same on CLASS FM that "the party has so much distrust for the Electoral Commission’s ability to organize a clean election in the country; thus the NPP would prefer a prostitute to the EC when it comes to matters of trust in Ghana's electoral system.

The NPP functionary, who was a former deputy Interior Minister was reacting to the Supreme Court’s decision in which the EC was directed to purge the Electoral register of persons who registered with National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) cards.

But the comment has not gone down with the NDC deputy Chief scribe who is demanding an immediate apology from the top hierarchy of the party for the distasteful comments.

He emphasized that the NPP must apologize to the officials of the Electoral Commission for describing them as prostitutes.

Speaking to Moro Awudu on INSIDE POLITICS on Accra based CLASS FM, Mr Anyidoho added; “The NPP's attacks on the EC has moved into the realms of extreme vulgarity and unthinkable speech. This is why a character like the NPP's non-elected Deputy General Secretary, Nana Obiri Boahene, can state that his continued dealings with prostitutes, gives him course to believe in the judgment of prostitutes and that he is sure that prostitutes will do a better job conducting the 2016 elections as opposed to the EC.

How can the NPP's Deputy General Secretary say that Ghana's EC cannot be trusted to give an accurate count of the votes that will be cast and that from his experience, prostitutes know how to keep an accurate count of the number of clients they service? This is absolutely despicable and must condemned in no uncertain terms” he added

He said the NPP’s penchant for attacking the EC has gotten to a head and therefore calls for civil society organizations to rise up and call the NPP to order. He said the NPP rather than taking their time to repair the bruised image of their flag bearer and his running mate who have made it their stock in trade to lie their way to power.

Few weeks ago, MP for Assin central and one key financier of the party, Kennedy Agyapong also accused the EC Chair of trading sex for the position, an unsavory comment that was widely condemned by majority of Ghanaians.
