ELECTION 2016...NPP Launches Manifesto Today

All is set for the New Patriotic Party (NPP's) manifesto launch at the Accra International Trade Fair Centre this afternoon.
 
The manifesto launch, which will be held at the forecourt of the Centre from 2pm, and is expected to be under the chairmanship of former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

It will be followed later by a major political rally, which will be opened to all supporters and members of the general public.

The rally will be preceded by a stakeholder briefing of the manifesto to Civil Society and Identifiable Groups, Embassies and Diplomatic Missions and Political Parties at the Unique Events Palace, Trade Fair Center at 12pm prompt,” a statement from the party earlier indicated.

In attendance will be the Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and his running mate, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia and other leading members of the largest opposition party. 

The manifesto, which is based on the theme; Agenda for change, Jobs, Prosperity and Securing the Peace, contains the solutions that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the party propose to help fix the problems facing the country.

The youth-focused manifesto also includes details on how to resolve the unemployment problem among young Ghanaians.

Among other things, the 2016 manifesto launch of the NPP will also explain the “one district, one dam” election promise of the party.

Earlier in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Communications Director of the NPP, Nana Akomea said the party had prepared very well for a mammoth rally at the forecourt of the Trade Fair Centre and made provisions for as many party faithful and sympathisers to attend the event.

The theme for the 2012 manifesto of the party was Transforming Lives, Transforming Ghana.
