Nduom Pays Respect To Late Lokko: Our Bond Is Beyond Politics

2016 presidential hopeful of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, yesterday signed a book of condolence opened by the family of the late Madam Naa Amerley Eva Lokko at her residence in Accra.

Dr. Nduom, who was in black suit, black tie and white shirt, was accompanied by the national executives of the party who were also in black and red attire.

In a brief interview with the media after the visit, a visibly saddened Dr. Nduom in a calm tearful voice expressed: “as we all know in times of such situation, it is very difficult for loved ones, family, friends and close associates to talk.

“What I can say is that my relationship with late Eva Lokko transcends beyond politics. Eva was somebody who had what it takes to give the Ga state what they have been denied for all this while,” he said.

According to him, the decision of late Madam Lokko to represent the people of Klottey Korley constituency in the Greater Accra Region positioned the Ga State in its rightful place.

That decision, Dr. Nduom said now remains a “dream deferred.”

He continued that Ms. Lokko was one of the few people who had a positive attitude with a strong will and determination to always do the right things to impact positively on Ghanaians.

The PPP leader intimated that the late Ms. Lokko contributed immensely towards the building and shaping PPP into a strong, vibrant and a great force to reckon with in the political arena of Ghana which is ready to wrestle power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), come December 7 polls.
