Anthony Abayifa Karbo has made it clear that even though he does not side with President John Dramni Mahama’s style of leadership – he cannot under any circumstance use vitriolic language on him.

“Politics is our job but attacking someone’s personality is unacceptable. We can also insult the president. We have loads of arsenals to use buts some of us are well trained from home so even though I don’t agree with President Mahama’s leadership, I will not insult him” he said.

“What has northerners done to Koku Anyidoho? Koku must learn to respect elders” he added.

Karbo was responding to the Deputy General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), chants at NDC’s campaign launch in the Ashanti region that NPP’s running mate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is “mutum banza” to wit ‘useless’.

In Koku’s latest diatribe, he tagged Dr Bawumia as an incompetent liar who does not deserve to be made Vice President of Ghana.

To him – what the NPP’s running mate knows best is spreading lies and falsehood in his attempt to make the NPP look good.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show, ‘Ghana Montie’ – the NPP’ Parliamentary Candidate for Lawra in the Upper West Region wondered why Koku Anyidoho “hate Muslims” - and alluded to several instances where his (Koku's) hatred for Dr Bawumia got the better of him.

“Now we northerners are ready for Koku Anyidoho because it is only in this country that Koku thinks he can continuously attack Dr Bawumia and go free. We will respond and the president will take full responsibility for the actions we are going to take in respect on these attacks on Dr. Bawumia,” he said.

“President Mahama and NDC have no message and want to attack Bawumia in person. Yesterday Bawumia asked them a simple but fundamental question, if they loved northerners why did they ‘chop’ the SADA money? Why are they not paying feeding grants to the northern schools? Why did they cancel teacher training allowance, etc?

“…this elections is not about insults on northerners, the NDC must know that northerners are wide awake! Time up for NDC. The calling for Change is loud and clear” he added.
