Ashanti NPP Thanks Residents & Urges Them To Sustain Momentum

The Ashanti Regional Office of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) has expressed its gratitude and appreciation to residents of the Ashanti Region and the media for love and support shown to the flagbearer of the party, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo and his entourage during a four day tour in the region.

The party says it is overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and the affection shown to the flagbearer and his team during the visit.

A statement signed by the Regional Chairman, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, alias Chairman Wontumi, noted "the success of the tour will give further impetus to the party in its quest to recapture power and restore hope to Ghanaians,".

"The love you have shown to the flagbearer and the party has invigorated our spirit. Its gives us hope that victory is within our reach," the statement noted.

The Ashanti Regional branch of the party therefore urged supporters to sustain the momentum and continue to work towards achieving victory in December 7.

The 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo, on Saturday, October 22, 2016, ended his 4-day tour of the Ashanti Region, with a clarion call on residents of the region to rally behind, and vote massively for him and the 47 NPP parliamentary candidates in this year’s elections.

Addressing artisans, carpenters and businesses owners at the Sokoban Wood Village, in the Nhyiaeso constituency, which was his last port of call, the NPP flagbearer noted that against a backdrop of an economy in tatters, declining growth rate in manufacturing, record levels of youth unemployment, rising cost of living, widespread corruption, and a collapsed NHIS, Ghanaians should show President Mahama the exit on December 7.

The NPP flagbearer is currently in the Volta Region to begin a 5-day tour. This will be the 2 nd time this year that Nana Akufo-Addo will tour the region – a region for which the NPP has set an agenda of capturing at least 3 seats in parliament and 30% of the popular vote.

Nana Akufo-Addo will visit a total of 15 constituencies, which will include visits to South Dayi, Kpando, Krachi East, Nkwanta North, Hohoe, Ho Central, North Tongu, amongst others.
