We Are Sluggishly Campaigning In The Ashanti Region - NDC Group
A pro NDC group by name Victory for Mahama has sounded a note of caution to the national executive of the National Democratic Congress to hurriedly move to save the party from the shame to befall them in the Ashanti Region.
According to the group, they are highly disappointed with the approach adopted by their executives in the region and wouldn’t be surprised if they do not make half a million votes from the region.

HAVE WE SURRENDERED THE ASHANTI REGION TO THE NPP?
We are really disappointed at the approach at which the NDC is handling campaign in the Ashanti Region.
It is barely a month to the general election, but we can state on authority that our campaign in the Ashanti Region has been nothing good to write home about.
The regional executives have shown no attitude or made any approach to the realization of our one million votes targets in the region.
As the NPP and their regional team are working tirelessly by moving from 'door to door' to increase their votes, we only find the NDC Chairman and his team doing nothing!
Do we find them campaigning in any constituency in the region? No! They are not campaigning, but are rather in their homes watching ‘Wontumi’ and his team sweeping all the votes in the region.
As a smaller group with fewer resources, Victory for Mahama has undertaken vigorous and more door to door campaigns than what the regional team does.
We sometimes wonder whether they are truly NDC supporters, because their actions are contrary to what true sympathizers of the NDC do.
The party is losing massively in the region and they seem to have surrendered everything to the NPP.
The NDC is losing votes each day with much mass defections to the NPP and our regional secretariat sit unconcern.
This hurts badly because from how things are going the NDC will perform badly in the Ashanti Region if nothing is done about this situation.
We are not trying to be prophets of doom; but, from how the regional campaign is been handled, we shall not be amazed if we do not make half a million votes from the Ashanti Region.
To conclude, we expect the national to as a matter of urgency rise to save the party from this shame.
