Be Truthful To The Electorate - NDCs Maame Efua Warns Moses Anim

Aspiring parliamentary candidate for the Trobu Constituency, a suburb of Accra, Maame Efua Sekyi-Aidoo has issued a stern warning to his contender, the New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary candidate, who also doubles as the incumbent Member of Parliament in the area, Hon Moses Anim, to as a matter of respect and principles desist from spreading falsehood against her during  campaign tours in the constituency.

According to Maame Efua, Moses Anim, “instead of telling the candidates what he has been able to do for the people who voted him into power for the past four years, and why they should retain him, he has rather resorted to maligning me with lies and other frivolous things I have no idea of.”

“anytime he gets the opportunity in the media, or in any of his campaign platforms, he lies to people that my husband had contract from SADA and GYEEDA and have been using the proceeds to fund my campaign,”, Maame Efua explained.

“ I am a woman of principles, I believe in development, and not running people down, I have just grabbed the challenge to lead the people of Trobu, I have the youth and my entire constituency at heart , that is my calling and I am not perturbed by my detractors, as a sitting Member of Parliament I rather expect you to campaign on principles, let the electorates feel you from your records, and stop the lies about me,”, she lamented.

In an audio going viral, Moses Anim in an interview with the media accused Maame Efua for campaigning skirt and blouse; that the electorates should vote for her as an MP and Nana Addo for the president.

But when contacted for his reaction, Hon Moses Anim said the allegations were flimsy and that he had not on any platform spewed those comments.

He bemoaned this reporter for publishing projects which had been initiated by Maame Efua in trobu, without his reaction.

“why did you not come to me when you were going to publish those projects done by her, already you have put her in the good light that few months that she showed interest to contest the Trobu Parliamentary seat, she had already flooded the constituency with projects, and just by this statement you are saying she is better than me, so why have you now come for my response over this flimsy allegations, where is your sense of balance in this issue,” Hon Moses Anim quizzed.

Stay tuned.
