Nduom rallies support for PPP Effutu MP Aspirant

Progressive People’s Party (PPP) presidential hopeful for the 2016 elections, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has urged the electorate in the Effutu constituency in the Central Region to vote for the party’s parliamentary aspirant.

Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd of PPP faithful(s) at a mini-rally organised by the Effutu constituency branch of the party on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, Dr. Nduom expressed hope in the party’s parliamentary candidate, Nana Ofori Owusu, to deliver on his promises to the constituents.

The PPP flag-bearer assured the constituents in Effutu that Nana Ofori Owusu when given the nod to represent them in Parliament will bring more developments to the area.

He explained that having known Big Nana as he is affectionately called, Dr. Nduom said he can put his last bet on him that he [Nana Ofori] will not disappoint his constituents when voted as the MP for the area.

“This is a man (referring to Nana Ofori Owusu) whom since I got to know has been sincere in everything he does and I can assure that you will not regret sending him to Accra to represent your interest,” Dr. Nduom affirmed.

The PPP presidential nominee also used the opportunity to discount rumours making rounds that the PPP will not participate in this year’s elections owing to his disqualification by the Electoral Commission (EC).

“The PPP as a party has not been disqualified so don’t let anybody deceive you. We are fully involved in this year’s elections and I know the laws of this country will reinstate me on the presidential ballot paper to lead our great party,” he confidently expressed.

For his part, Nana Ofori Owusu reiterated his commitment to his constituents to bring economic relief to them.

“I’ll be there for you in everything and make sure that I help resolve all your economic problems for you,” Nana Ofori assured.

He blamed the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Afenyo Markins, for doing little to help the constituency in terms of socio-economic developments.
