Mahamas Unfulfilled Promises @ BA Exposed!

The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo’s visit to Berekum has exposed some unfulfilled promises the governing NDC Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama had made to the people of that area in his bid to woo them into voting for him on December 7, 2016.

The people who are disappointed in President Mahama for taking them for granted for far too long, have vowed to vote against him in the coming elections.

A visit to Berekum revealed that the Berekum Training College has been in total darkness for the past four weeks because of their inability to settle debts owed the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).

President Mahama who was made aware of the plight of students in the College, promised to pay the debt as he sought their votes in the coming elections.

Meanwhile, four weeks down the line, the school is still wallowing in serious blackout with students finding it difficult to study since the President has reneged on his promise. This development according to students who spoke to Nana Akufo-Addo during his tour of the area, is affecting their studies.

“President Mahama came and promised to pay off this debt so that our lights are restored. Little did we know that, that was just a dirty promise to confuse and deceive us into voting for him in the coming election,” an angry student said.

Touched by the plights of the students as far as their studies and future is concern, the NPP leader Nana Akufo-Addo promised to help the school settle the debt owed ECG.

According to him, John Mahama is creating problems in many areas with his failed and dirty promises leading to loss of hope.

In another development, majority of people who have fallen victim in the DKM saga are still crying for their monies. According to them, although President Mahama and his NDC government have promised to ensure that they are paid, majority of them remain unpaid making life unbearable for them.

Addressing supporters in Berekum, Nana Akufo-Addo also promised to make Berekum West Constituency a District.

Meanwhile, the Asunafo Chief Nana Kwaku Aterkyi, the Omanhene of Kukuom in the Asunafo South constituency, has lauded the one-District-one-factory policy of Nana Akufo-Addo, explaining that it is the solution to the high level unemployment currently prevailing in the country.

According to Nana Kwaku Aterkyi, this proposal is the best among the proposals espoused by all political parties in this year’s electioneering period, as it has touched the hearts of many in his community and across the country.

He also explained that “everyone who has travelled outside Ghana will bear testimony to the fact that if any nation is to progress, its manufacturing and production base must thrive. The vision being expressed by Nana Akufo-Addo is based on the fact that we have abundance of raw materials in every part of the country. This should mean that Nana Addo’s vision to build a factory in each district is feasible,” he said.
