Proprietors Of Driving Schools Undergo Financial Training

Reverend Erasmus Amankwaah Addo, President of Ghana National Association of Driving Schools, has called on proprietors of the association to keep records of their financial outstanding and be more efficient in their day-to-day activities as prospective managers.

He was speaking at the one-day workshop training organized by the Ghana National Association of Driving Schools.

The aim of the training according to Rev. Addo is to enhance the capacity of the proprietors to help them function as individual managers, solve problems, set standards and achieve objectives in a sustainable manner. 

“We leave in a dynamic environment where things keep changing therefore the need for change in our businesses", Rev. Erasmus Addo said.

For this reason, the president of the Association explained that they have invited a consultant to train them on how to manage their businesses and their accounting system.

The syllabi for them would be based on Financial Statement, Business Records, The Cash Book as the Basic Book, The Imprest System, Bank Reconciliation, Assets Management, Payroll, Tax matters, Budgeting and Analysis of Records.

"This is the first programme organised by the association interns of management, its involved only the southern sector of private schools, but aside this, we have already trained our instructors and they are up to standard", Rev. Erasmus Addo added.

According to him "the problem of most proprietors is to squander every money that comes into the business and are always found wanting at the end of the month whenever the need come  to pay their employees,  we don't want to find ourselves in  such situations in our businesses that is why we are here today, we want everything to be on right procedure".

Finally, he advised all drivers to be extra careful on the road before, during and after the Christmas season.
