James Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly called Kabila, has advised opposition parties to allow President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his team to function effectively without any heckles.

According to him, it is too early for the opposition to assess the performance of President Nana Akufo-Addo.

Kabila noted that the President's appointment of Ministers is a step in the right direction because he alone can't work to fulfill his promises to the citizenry.

To him, governance is not a "sprint" where Ghanaians should expect the President to somehow conjure solutions to the economic crises of the country.

“It’s early days yet to start assessing these people . . . I am in opposition but I want to be a responsible opposition. We should give them time.

“It’s not sprint. It’s not like 100 meters or 200 meters but a long distance; 1500, 3000, 5000 and so forth. So, we don’t use force to begin. It’s usually slow. It takes steps . . . Let’s take our time. Let’s give the man some space,” he told Kwami Sefa Kayi on 'kokrokoo'

Kabila also advised the Ministerial nominees appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo to note that their "surest bet and duty is to perform. When you perform, nobody cares whether you’re the President’s friend, you’re the President’s brother, you’re the President’s brother-in-law; you’re from Upper West, Upper East. So, in all, the Ministers who have been appointed should help the President and his vision. He can’t do it alone. To fight corruption, no one person can do it.”
