Speeches From Ministers Designate Wont Win NPP A Single Vote- Charles Owusu

A staunch member of the Progressive People’s Party, Mr. Charles Owusu has warned that Ghanaians would only base the renewal of the NPP’s mandate when it comes to an end on performance and not mere talks.

Mr. Owusu advised viewers and listeners following the proceedings in parliament not to be only judge ministers designate base on how well they speak in public but rather on their contributions towards the positive transformation of the economy.

Contributing on ATV’s Asem Yi Di Ka show, Mr. Charles Owusu noted that “President Nana Akufo-Addo wouldn’t be judge on the performance of his appointees being vetted by parliament. He would be judge according to his works when his tenure comes to an end”, he noted.

Parliament on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 constituted a 26-member Appointments Committee also known as Vetting Committee.

The committee has been tasked to vet the nominees for various ministerial portfolios from the Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo Addo.

It is chaired by Joseph Osei-Owusu, MP for Bekwai and First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Haruna Iddrisu, Minority Leader and MP for Tamale South as ranking member.
