Ken Ofori Atta Will Make A Good Finance Minister - Allotey Jacobs

Allotey Jacobs says he is impressed by the conduct of Mr. Ken Ofori Atta, Minister-designate for Finance.

Speaking on Kokrokoo on Peace FM, Allotey Jacobs told sit-in host Nana Yaw Kesseh that the Finance Minister-designate made an outstanding mark when he appeared before the Parliamentary Appointments Committee.

He was particularly impressed with the composure of Mr. Ofori Atta and the answers he gave to the questions posed to him during his vetting.

"...very cool and calm. His smile, the face in itself; even when he's not smiling you might think he is. Also, he's very cautious with his answers to any questions."

Allotey Jacobs was of a strong view that Mr. Ofori Atta will make a good Finance Minister if only he's not "snobbish" and his appearance before the Appointments Committee wasn't deceptive.

" . . when you take a critical look at his body language, well if he's not snobbish; I wish him well . . . his appearance might be deceptive but the appearance he put up during questioning, yeah, he stands out."

He commended Ken Ofori Atta for giving good responses before the Committee and hoped he will be different from his predecessors, saying "I doff my hat. He stands out quite differently. I wish him well. If he won't be snobbish, then we might have a different Finance Minister all together."
