2017 Budget Will Have Results-Oriented Policies To Turn Around Economy � Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo has assured Ghanaians that the maiden Budget of his administration will have well-thought-out policies to shore up the country’s economy.

The President said this when he addressed members of the Ghanaian community resident in Banjul, The Gambia on Saturday, February 19, 2017.

The government’s first Budget presentation is expected to be given by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta in parliament on 2nd March, 2017.

In his address, Mr. Akufo-Ado also stressed that the policy initiatives and measures among others will go a long way to improve the private sector and strengthen it, adding that it is only when the sector flourishes that the nation can create a buoyant economy with a high numbers of jobs for the masses.

President Akufo-Addo joined a host of other African leaders in Banjul to witness the official investiture of the new President Adama Barrow yesterday, who initially faced a tough challenge to assume the reins of power after winning elections last year.

His presidency had initially been challenged by former President Yahya Jammeh, but ECOWAS backed by African Union (AU) and United Nations (UN) opposed his continuous stay in power after losing elections.
