NPP Must Fix Dumsor Now! - NDC Man

A communication team member of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Kwaku Asare, has challenged the new government to quickly fix the unreliable power situation they inherited from the previous government.

Speaking on ATV’s political show dubbed Asem Yi Di Ka, Mr. Kwaku Asare, noted that one of the reasons electorates voted for the New Patriotic Party was because they told Ghanaians that they have the requisite skills to curb the erratic power supply that was hindering the progress of our economy.

According to him, the previous NDC administration tried on several occasion to explain to Ghanaians that it would take a while for them to fix the situation but had the message fall on deaf ears because the NPP took a counter approach.

“When the NDC told the Ghanaians that there was problem with our power generation, there were members in the New Patriotic Party who told the nation that we were lying and mismanaging the situation.

Ghanaians listened to them and voted for them – so whether it is one day or a week, we expect them to fix the situation”, Mr. Kwaku Asare said.

The Ministry of Energy has said that power crisis (dumsor) that has enveloped the country ended on Monday. Consequently, the ministry expects that normal uninterrupted power supply will resume by Tuesday (today). The move, the ministry said, follows the completion of work at the TEN Fields.
