GJA Executives Elections: Nii Adjei Klu Enters Race

Outspoken veteran journalist, Nii Adjei Klu has filed his nomination to contest the position of National Public Affairs Officer of the upcoming Ghana Journalists Association [GJA] national elections.

The national executive of the GJA has set Friday March 31, 2017 as the date for elections for both new national and regional branch executives.

Nominations for the various positions include; President, Vice President, General Secretary, Organising Secretary, Treasurer, Public Affairs Officer and Corporate-Member Representative.

The Senior Manager of Radio, GBC (Obonu FM) has however expressed interest in the position filed so as to be “the voice for Ghanaian journalists and to explore training opportunities for Ghanaian journalists and fight for good working conditions for Ghanaian Journalists in both private and public service.”

His vision is to “Project the corporate image of the profession and to make journalism stronger and attractive.”

Profile

Nii Adjei Klu has been a member of the association for twenty seven [27] years and has won GJA awards in 1999, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2015 – he also has over twenty citations from Christian, Muslim, NGOs, Educational and Corporate Institutions to his credit.

The old hand journalist has Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] Hons from MUCG - certificate from World Bank Institute, Certificate from Cairo Institute of African Broadcasters and Management Development and Productivity Institute, Accra.

Nii Adjei Klu attended Accra High School; He is chairman of Teshie Nursing and Midwifery Training School.

He rose through the ranks from Programs Assistant to Senior Manager of Radio at GBC and assigned to Obonu FM as Programs Manager where he has transformed the station into a first class radio station.
