The Board Chairman of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) has been directed by the National Media Commission (NMC) to recall Mr. William Ampem-Darko to resume duty immediately as Director-General of the corporation.
A statement signed by the Chairman of the NMC, Mr. Paul Adu-Gyamfi, yesterday and copied to the Mr. Ampem-Darko and the Deputy Director-General, Mr. Kwabena Sarpong Anane, also directed the Deputy Director-General, who was acting while Mr. Ampem-Darko was on leave, to hand over to him immediately. The NMC also requested the GBC board to furnish it with information with regard to ongoing matters in the corporation within 48 hours.
