Put Ghana First: Minister Urges TOR Board

Boakye Agyarko, the Minister of Energy, has sworn in the board members of the Tema Oil Refinery.

The Minister urged the members of the board to be strategic in setting policies by collaborating with management to ensure the success of the refinery.

He appealed to them to operate with maximum efficiency in all their operations by putting Ghana first in all their endeavors.

"I urge you to be professional in discharging your duties and assure you of my support as you embark on this cause," he said.

Tongeaan Kugbilsong Nanlebegtang, Chairman of the Board, on behalf of the members, expressed gratitude to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for giving them the opportunity to serve the country.

He assured the Minister of the Board’s commitment to work assiduously to revamp Refinery.

"We assure you and Ghanaians that we will work with the interest of the nation at heart," he said.

Members of the Board are Isaac Osei, the Chief Executive; Kofi Brako, MP for Tema Central; John Boadu, Acting NPP General Secretary; William Abayaawiea Atuilik, Edith Sapara-Grant, Seth Achamfour-Yeboah, Leon Kendon Appenteng and Nene Abayaateye Amegatcher.
