A staunch member of the Progressive People's Party [PPP], Mr. Charles Owusu has decided to throw a feast for inmates of Kete-Krachi Prisons as he celebrates his birthday.

The PPP stalwart donated items worth thousands of cedis to the inmates through the Prisons Headquarters in Accra.

He presented the items to Mrs. Josephine Fredua-Agyemang, Director of Prison at the head office to be given to the inmates at Volta Region.

Charles Owusu however appealed to other generous persons to emulate the gesture to put some smiles on the faces of individuals who find themselves in such conditions.

“Whiles making merry here, we must remember our brothers who for some reasons serving jail time. We are all potential jailbirds so we must always put smiles on their faces as well. We must show love to prisoners, they are like us” he said during the presentation

Charles Owusu also appealed to prison officers to “make the place [prison] available for others to visit so they can help the inmates”
