Our Judges Must Be Treated Fairly - Dr. Maurice Ampaw

The handling of judges involved in the bribery scandal that shook the foundation of the Judicial Service has been deemed as unfair by private legal practitioner, Dr. Maurice Ampaw.

The maverick layer opined that the handling of the case could best be described as discriminating against judges who had given their best to uphold tenants in the constitution.

Speaking on ATV’s Anopa Bosuo show on matters related to judges who were incriminated in an investigation embarked upon by seasoned journalist, Anas, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw noted that most of the judges were not treated fairly.

“The punishment that these judges went through was too much, some of them might have committed suicide if care was not taken. In fighting corruption we should not only target the judiciary",he stated.

He urged President Nana Akufo Addo to allow a committee to appoint an independent persecutor who  will prosecute individuals who engage in corrupt practices on, in every govermental institution.
