Ghana Beat Nigeria In Skate

Ghana once again established their dominance over rivals in sports, Nigeria, by beating them 3-2 to be crowned champions of the maiden “Binatone International Unity Skate Soccer Fiesta” played at the Black Star Square last weekend.
 
Gariba Sani, who captained the Ghana team, was the toast of the day with his two goals that gave the hosts the morale-boosting win in a game that saw Nigeria dominating, nonetheless.

As a reward for their victory, the Black Skates took home a giant trophy and products from Binatone, the sponsors.

Nigeria player, Abdulai ‘SAS’ Mohammed, was adjudged the Most Valuable Player, while Ghana's goalie, Mensah Bilal, was crowned Best Goalkeeper.

Awuta Umar of Nigeria won the Best Defender award, with Gariba Saani taking home the Goal King award with two goals.

The Managing Director of Binatone-Ghana, Mr Venu Babu, expressed his satisfaction about Ghana winning the tie and insisted that it was a step in the right direction as they aim at developing the sport in the country.

The Group Chief Executive Officer of Binatone, Sunil Lalvani, said the company will host a return fixture in Nigeria in order to sustain the competition.
