Adwoa Safo Cuts Sod For 3-Unit Classroom Block For Atomic Cluster Of Schools

Minister for Procurement and Deputy Majority Leader, Sarah Adwoa Safo has cut sod for the construction of a 3-Unit classroom block for the Atomic Cluster of Schools.

The facility, when completed will have a library, an ICT lab and a KVIP.

It is expected to be completed within twelve months.

According to Hon. Adwoa Safo, who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Dome/Kwabenya, she was was touched by the school’s academic excellence despite having limited classroom blocks which has resulted in congestion among the student body.

With a population of 1,400, about 70 students occupy one classroom, a situation which according deputy Majority Leader does not encourage good teaching practices and further held that it was inconvenient for the students to remain in such condition.

She also donated textbooks to assit the school.

The Headmistress of the school, Madam Felicia Obeng Boateng, noted that pressure has been mounted on the management of the school to expand the facilities to accommodate the increasing student population.

She expressed gratitude to the Minister and pleaded with her to come to also help in constructing a fence wall around the school because of the several attacks that threaten the lives of the students.
