I Wont Insult Mills Again

The Vice Chairman of the Mfantseman East Branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Samuel Adoko, has retracted his recent statement against President John Evans Atta Mills, which sought to denigrate the image of the latter. The Mfantseman East Vice Chairman has therefore rendered an unqualified apology to President J.E.A Mills and vowed not to attack the President again. The Mfantseman East Vice Chairman has therefore rendered an unqualified apology to President J.E.A Mills vowed not to attack the President again. Mr. Adoko has also appealed to all the members of the ruling government, especially those in the Mfantseman East Constituency, who were not amused about his statement to remain calm and come together as one people under the greater umbrella. Mr. Adoko recently blamed President Mills, who hails from the Mfantseman East constituency, of contributing to the unending unity crisis that has hit the constituency since the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government assumed office. He accused President Mills of failing to settle disputes at his own backyard and predicted a heavy defeat for NDC in 2012 if nothing is done to solve the unending unity crisis in the party in the constituency. But Mr. Adokos public outburst did not go down well with some well-meaning members of the party and have urged him to retract his comments or face their wrath. Speaking in an interview with The Independent, the Mfantseman East constituency Vice Chairman, whose demeanor depicted one who has regretted the comments he made against the President, said, I did not mean to insult or attack the integrity of the President, but I was only trying to explain that, President Mills has not been fair to we those who are members of the Mfantseman East constituency NDC, where he (President Mills) hails from. He added that, we the members of the constituency party have petitioned President Mills on several occasions to intervene in resolving the unity crisis, but we are yet to see him do something about it. He urged all factions within the constituency party to put away their differences and come together to fight a common goal. According to him, all members of the NDC need to unite in order to retain power in 2012, adding, Without unity, power will elude the NDC in the coming elections.
